Oggi Vavassori esce dai 600 ATP, sancendo di fatto ufficiosamente la fine della sua carriera in singolare. Oggi per me personalmente è un giorno molto triste
Disamina condivisibile in toto.
Purtroppo abbiamo soggetti che si dicono esperti e sono invece piuttosto mediocri quanto a competenze.
Mi ripeto:dissi un paio d’anni fa che vedevo nell’Italia la possibilità di riprendere in parte i fasti della gloriosa Svezia degli anni ’80.
La base era questa: una nazione piccola,senza l’apporto della collaborazione scuola-circoli (vulnus tutt’ora presente) che vede giocatori top,top 10,top 20 come mai abbiamo visto e soprattutto dopo decenni di vacche magre e magrissime che solo il buon Fognini (e Seppi) avevano rinverdito.
Ciò che va visto soprattutto è che non sono giocatori già maturi ma che raggiungeranno il picco tra 2/3 anni quindi è plausibile (nulla è certo) che i best ranking possano anche essere ritoccati o, ed è più importante,possano trovare il torneo giusto per fare il grande risultato.
Di chi il merito? Sulla Federazione ho le mie idee e ritengo che in primis bisogna elogiare l’atleta,la famiglia e poi i tecnici che a questi ragazzi non disdegnano di insegnare la manualità e una visione ampia del campo (poi ognuno si trova a suo agio in questa o quella zona).Non da ultimo Sinner: il treno viaggia spedito se la locomotiva va e Jannik è un esempio per tutto il movimento.
Ci sarebbe poi un discorso sull’evoluzione dei fisici,l’incremento dell’altezza media e di conseguenza di come il ragazzino più alto non sia più solo da piazzare su un campo da volley o basket ma in tanti altri ambiti sportivi.
Discorso lungo.
PS chi sostiene che ad esempio non si insegni il servizio se non negli ultimi minuti è rimasto al 1984, da tempo è un esercizio fatto a metà lezione con uso anche di videonalisi, esercizi per lo stacco senza racchetta,pesistica e lavoro sull’equilibrio.
Best ranking 21 e con 4 titoli ATP, praticamente ha raggiunto la carriera di Sonego a soli 24 anni. Ma so già che a qualche estraneo non solo al tennis, ma al mondo dello sport in generale, il traguardo apparrà insignificante.
