Mergea però è un doppista di valore, e onestamente in questo momento Bolelli non può pretendere di giocare con uno dei doppisti più forti. Poi se rientrerà magari tra i primi 30 di vedrà.

A Pau la finale (del singolo) sembra uscita direttamente dalla macchina del tempo.
Per quanto riguarda Mergea, se io ambissi seriamente a guadagnarmi il pane col doppio, mi cercherei subito un altro compagno. Se poi ti accontenti di qualche finale challenger qua e là, per carità, va benissimo. È uno specialista ed è assolutamente dotato. Ma quando il gioco si fa duro, lo vedrete squagliarsi come neve al sole. Chiedere a Tecau (al quale è costato una medaglia d’oro) per credere. Mai visto un braccino simile, neanche nei gironi regionali della SAT.
Io sono straconvinto che Bolelli avrebbe ancora potuto dire la sua anche in singolare. Braccio pazzesco. Aveva dichiarato che avrebbe continuato in doppio e in singolare solo i tornei del grand slam: purtroppo con la classifica attuale ciò non è più possibile nemmeno passando per le quali. Pazienza!!! Forza Bolelli !!!!
La migliore finale possibile a Pau tra due grandi talenti, purtroppo discontinui e mentalmente e fisicamente fragili
